The Fidas® system is being offered in different versions in order to provide a low cost solution for several applications in the reliable indoor/outdoor quality measurement (IDQ/ODQ). All Fidas® systems are equipped with a LED light source with high light stability and long lifetime. Basically, all Fidas® possess a filter holder for the insertion of an absolute filter.
The types Fidas® 200 and Fidas® 210 operate with a low volume flow of 0.2 m3/h and measure the dust values PM1, PM2,5, PM4, PM10 and TSP. Additional to the temporally high-resolved measurement data, the devices can be equipped with a standardized separator for PM2,5 or PM10 (PMX-PNK, Sven Leckel Ingenieurbüro GmbH). By weighing of the downstream filter, thus the measurement data can be validated gravimetrically. Also, this allows for example a subsequent chemical investigation of the composition of the aerosol.
Both types of device are equipped with an Intelligent Aerosol Drying System (IADS) as well as with sensors for the measurement of temperature, air pressure and relative humidity. The IADS avoids a falsification of the measurement by condensation effects with high humidity.
The Fidas® 210 is additionally featured with sensors for the measurement of wind direction, wind speed, amount of precipitation and kind of precipitation. The Fidas® 210 is placed in an IP65 weather-protective housing.
